Pirandelo - Pirandelo CD [dfrgcd86] $12.80 (€10.00)
(OUT OF STOCK  Why?)
Label: DSP Notify Me (What is this?)

''Pirandèlo Suona'' is a multiplicity of voices. Its personal style frees from a mere formality. Synergy between digital and analogic worlds creates original and essencial structures. An harmonic sound is made up of glitch, pop and jazz influences and destructured sounds. Nine tracks where whispered sounds, soft melodies and micro-flatters outline a world with its own spaces and times. The sound draws warm and candid (''onde scarlatte'') or crude and biting '('Aus mud'') atmospheres. The flute of ''Life could be beauty enough'' translates the vespertine sensations in beauty and harmony, not only aesthetic. The voice itself makes pure sound or creates a bridge between the daily life and its representation (''Disegno''). "Pirandèlo Suona" is a co-production between Dsp recordings and Baskaru.

Customer Reviews:
On 2005-03-12 00:00:00, 'Don Poe, EAR/Rational Staff Reviewer' gave the following review:
This is infectious music - and I am not saying that just because I am sick. This is somewhat hard to describe, but think of little melody-boxes you had when you were a child. Now, take that idea and run it through a stop-motion movie, so it becomes chopped up, angled and modified. This is electronic music with nearly no beats - at one point a beat peaks around the corner but it gets chased away by the good dreams this music will give you. Minimal use of vocals, there are voices here and there but they are low in the mix. The instrumentation sounds like it was picked from the a digital shortwave, interference and blips included. I like this stuff!
