"Last year, Henrik Jonsson aka Porn Sword Tobacco set the speed for the future of ambient-inspired campfire music. He did. And now he is ready to explain freedom. With his second release for CCO and his first full-length album, Henrik Jonsson expands his vision on what music should be like. Taking off in his comfortable domain of introverted crackles, nature sounds, tiny piano fragments, Explains Freedom switches moods as fast as a turntablelist changes his records and offers snapshots of a the slow-motion world we all miss. 'Eudaimonia' is a blueprint for your early morning wake up call, 'Watt towers' should play as a loop in every crib, 'Talk is cheap, swords are sharp' is what you feel when you see when the sun comes up behind a big mountain, 'Folkhemmet' is the dance the elderly dance when they fall in love and 'Futuristic Rasta Money' makes you realise that Henrik Jonsson is not the person you thought he was. Explains Freedom, again, is something unexplainable, something you will not be able to live without. 'When I was a kid, I used to sit in my room for days and play 'Summer Games' on my C64. I especially liked the opening sequence, when the olympic fire was lit and the guy with the torch turned towards me. I felt something special then. Explains Freedom feels the same.
