Hop-Frog's Drum Jester Devotional - Chants de Sewage CD [URCKLTD2] $12.00
(OUT OF STOCK  Why?)
Label: Urckarm Notify Me (What is this?)

URCK is extremely happy to unveil the second full length from Hop-Frog’s Drum Jester Devotional. The album is a testament to Morelock’s unique Post-Asiatic vision. Opening with a repetitive looping violin sample sounding like something from the nomad gypsies of North Africa backed by Einsturzende Neubauten and fronted by Kahlil Gibran himself delaying subliminal messages of trance. The album proceeds with samples from Chappaqua, dreamy synthesizers and ever pollinating effects washes ending with a smashing array of tablas, guitar synthesizers, and beat poetry. Finally a truly untapped dimension in psychedelic music. We’re not blowing opiates up your ass!

Customer Reviews:
On 2008-01-16 00:00:00, 'Don Poe, EAR/Rational Staff Reviewer' gave the following review:
The liner notes remind me of Coil's song Sewage Worker's Birthday Party from Scatalogy. This is full and rich with songs, I have listened to this over and over. A real head-space generator, plenty of psychedelic ethnic sounds to swirl around your head and make you think all sorts of odd thoughts. Voice samples and diatribes are built into the background, but really it is about the music, not the vocalizations. The songs are engaging, keep moving, melodic enough, and just damn fun. I like this.
