Autumn Of Communion was born almost as quickly as the seasons themselves change. In summer of 2012 Lee and Mick discussed a collaboration which could possibly convey everything they love about electronic music, movies, the mysteries of nature/life and beyond by combining each of their own musical idiosyncrasies..

A common ground quickly resulted in a synergistic kaleidoscope of deeply atmospheric drones, lush synthwork and emotive melody with environmental touches and intricate rhythmic details which reflect a hint of classic 90’s ambient/electronica. Autumn Of Communion was released through Pete Namlook’s legendary FAX label in November 2012.

A new album inspired by the “timeless” voices of ’90s-era synthesizers and ambient music that I grew up listening to, as well as more modern “pop ambient” composition styles, filtered through the Ethernet lens of trance-inducing washes of tones and pulses. It is also intended to invoke a hypnotic state in the listener to carry them “outside of time” for purposes of deep healing and catharsis. The album has a stronger emotional undercurrent than previous Ethernet material, with rich layers of harmonics and evocative melodic passages throughout.

Off Land follows up ‘Field Tangents’ with ‘Welkin Paths’, a beatless, seamless, ambient kaleidoscope of shadow-play.

‘Welkin Paths’ continues the sound of ‘Field Tangents’ and evolves it into something darker. The album combines live performance audio merged with studio sessions to create something that is both unique and familiar.

Archived field recordings from various times and locations form a subtle spine, connecting the album’s sixteen tracks. Richly melodic and eerily emotive, ‘Welkin Paths’ transports the listener to a darkness outside of day and night.

Stimulus Timbre is one of the musical aliases of Maltese composer Keith Farrugia.
You may also know him under his “Sound Synthesis” moniker.

His music gently grabs your attention with a variety of influences, each with a distinctive twist. It makes you listen intently, drawing you in with intricate sounds and timbres that slowly unfold and unravel into a beautiful journey.

Electronics and emotions intertwine to give the listener a deep, melancholic and almost surreal feeling where time is lost and nature seems to be closer than ever.

Whilst gaining a strong fan-base from having a number of digital-only releases under his belt, “Unfolding Cycles” will be the first Stimulus Timbre album to be released on CD and has been long overdue and highly anticipated.

Following on from his inclusion in the Tensegrity Vol.2 compilation, “Laroth”, aka Olivier Thoral, delivers his electro-ambient album debut on TXT in the form of “Reflections”… A conceptual exploration of the inner consciousness, personalities and dissociated identities of the self and the idea that there are no good or bad things, only the experience itself.
