MOTIONFIELD is the ambient music project by the Petter Friberg. He is a renowned musician of the Swedish ambient scene, with several albums released of which “Luftrum” on Carpe Sonum especially catched our Ambient ear and eye. The music on “Always There” is inspired by the Nordic nature and the great contrasts in the Scandinavian seasons. From the summer with the nordic light and the midnight sun to the four months of almost constant darkness during the winter. Nature is always there, ready to drastically change with every season. All the tracks of this album have been made by using samplers, modular synthesizers all flavored with field recordings.
